What is Vector Graphics?
Vector graphics are images that rely on the power of computing to form the intended image. Instead of a photographic rendering by a grid of pixels that are independently assigned their color and shade, vector graphics are drawn; the computer records each stroke of the artist's tool to display the intended stroke and color in the visual field. Just as a math student would draw a graph according to an equation listing points on the curve, computers draw vector graphics according to rules recorded when the graphic was created.
